Our Goal

Our Goal

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide quality one on one injury rehabilitation which includes a combination of hands-on care and exercise-based rehab principles.

Services

Our Goal

Our Goal

Musculoskeletal injuries: both acute and chronic.

Sports injuries

Post-operative rehabilitation

Arthritis and occupational injuries

Hand therapy: hand and arm injuries including post-operative care, splinting, arthritic care and occupational overuse injuries.

A Team Approach

Sometimes rehabilitation is not straight forward and it is well known that a multi-disciplinary approach to rehab is valuable. When necessary we’ll refer on to other professionals. This may include a vocational therapist, radiologist, orthopaedic specialist, pharmacist, counsellor or your GP.

In 2014 this was achieved with the opening of the Physio Studio with my business partner and fellow physiotherapist Megan Donovan.

I enjoy working with all injury types with a focus on solid manual handling, sound clinic reasoning and progressive exercise prescription. My goal is to provide my clients the tools to help themselves keep doing what they enjoy doing.

I have worked with many high level sports teams including the NZ men's Maori and Under 19  basketball teams. I am the Opotiki Sports Rugby physio and have been for the past ten years.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my twin boys Arlo and Fergus, surfing and playing golf.

I completed my acupuncture training in 2002 and my hand therapy training in 2020.

With a wide-ranging experience I’m well equipped to manage a variety of physiotherapy and hand therapy conditions. It is important to me to “treat the whole person” so your assessment and treatment will be centred around not only your injury but also your goals for work, sport and home.

I love to travel and when I’m not at work you can usually find me plotting my next trip or hanging out with my family.
